WEXFORD TEACHERS TAKE ACTION OVER NEW JUNIOR CERT. PLANS
Secondary school teachers across County Wexford will withdraw their co-operation for the planned new Junior Cycle programme from this morning.
Two teachers unions – which represent around 27 thousand secondary school teachers nationwide- voted for the action last month, over plans by the Education Minister to replace the Junior Cert.
The unions say they have a number of concerns about the new scheme – particularly the assessment process.
