County Wexford has the greatest number of acres under grain in the country this year
There is a total of of just over thirty five thousand hectares under barley which is down slightly on last year while other crops are on the increase
Cork has the second highest acreage with Meath in third postion
All this acreage is against a backdrop of poor prices as the harvesting season is about to begin
