County Wexford has recorded 143 deaths from Covid 19.
That’s according to official figures from the CSO published yesterday.
Its the 8th highest in the country and the highest in the south east region.
Wexford has recorded 7,050 cases of the virus since the pandemic began ranking it at number 9 in the country.
Last night, Wexford recorded 9 new cases of the virus.
There has been a further 7 Covid-19 deaths and 418 new cases nationally.
Wexford’s incidence rate figure remains the second lowerst in the country for the second day in a row, which is the lowest since December 8th 2020.
The number of Covid-19 patients in public hospitals is now at the joint lowest level in over seven months.
It dropped to 122 last night, and it hasn’t been any lower since October 2nd.
37 Covid patients were in intensive care yesterday, the lowest this year.
