The backlog in driving tests and the issuing of driving licences is a matter of ongoing concern.
That’s the view of Wexford Labour Councillor Maura Bell who is calling on the government to put emergency measures in place to clear the backlog.
She says the situation is particularly bad in county Wexford with over three thousand waiting on a driving test.
