TWO WOMEN ARRESTED FOLLOWING RAIDS IN WEXFORD AND WATERFORD
A major Garda operation in Wexford and Waterford has led to two arrests.
It follows morning raids targeting a criminal gang.
Over 80 Gardai were involved in 9 searches in the two counties this morning.
Members of the Criminal Assets Bureau, Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau and Garda air support unit were also involved in the intelligence led operation.
Gardai say the raids targetted a criminal gang operating nationally and in the South East.
However the searches are not understood to be linked to recent gangland killings in Dublin.
During the operation, what’s believed to be stolen property worth 75,000 euro was recovered and two women in their mid 40s were arrested.
They’re being detained at Enniscorthy Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act and can be held for up to 24 hours.
