TRAFFIC PLAN ANNOUNCED AHEAD OF WEXFORD HURLING CLASH
As Wexford’s hurlers prepare to do battle with Waterford this weekend Gardai and the County Board are advising supporters to arrive early.
The gates at Innovate Wexford Park will open at 12.30pm on Sunday with the game getting underway at 2pm.
Anyone travelling from the New Ross direction on the N25 or the New Line Road direction are advised to follow the signs for match traffic and park at the designated locations.
Parking and traffic restrictions will be in place around the venue with residental areas; Corish Park, Liam Mellows Park, Whiterock View, Beechlawn, Pineridge, Clonard Road and Summerhill affected.
Gardai are warning that cars will be towed away where parking breaches occur and access to homes of local residents or emergency routes are blocked.
Parking facilities will be provided at Clonard Church, St Peters College and North End Soccer Club for a nominal fee.
The games is a crucial one as both sides are in with a shot of getting promoted to the top tier of the league following the result.
