TIPP MAN JAILED FOR 17 YEARS FOR RAPING DAUGHTERS
A 50 year old Tipperary man has been jailed for 17 years for ‘vile acts’ of rape and abuse against three of his daughters.
The man who cannot be named was convicted by a jury on 74 charges last March.
The Central Criminal Court heard the abuse began at their Dublin home in 1994 when the eldest victim was 9 years old.
Judge Margaret Heneghan noted that he preyed on the innocent girls for his own sexual gratification, making them endure torture and torment.
Imposing the sentence she said he’d abused their trust ‘in the most evil and abhorrent manner”.
