The injuries board paid over three million euro in compensation to the victims of motor accidents in County Wexford in 2012.
In County Wexford there were one hundred and fifty five compensation awards for road accidents in 2012.
The average award was for over twenty three thousand euro and the total compensation awarded to the county was 3.6 million euro.
While the figures also show the Injuries Board received five claims for fatal accidents in County Wexford last year.
Nationally the body delivered compenstaion of over one hundred and fifty seven million euro – a two point two per cent increase on the amount awarded in 2011.
It’s report confirmed Friday was the most dangerous day on Irish roads in terms of award volumes while Sunday was the least dangerous.
However Sunday accidents accounted for the highest average award across the week indicating these are of a more serious nature.
