TALKS TODAY ON THE CLOSURE OF A NEW ROSS PLANT
Unions representing some workers of Irish Driver-Harris in New Ross are due to meet today to discuss the closure of the plant.
Workers were told yesterday the facility – which is one of County Wexford’s longest established companies – is to close immeditaely with the loss of 47 jobs.
The electrical cable manufacturer employed nearly 50 people at its facility for the past 80 years.
It’s believed at least 20 more non-direct jobs are also under threat.
