SPORT: WEXFORD WOMAN INCLUDED IN SQUAD FOR SIX NATIONS CLASH WITH FRANCE

Wexford’s Katie Fitzhenry has been promoted from the bench for Ireland’s six nations clash with France on Friday.

It’s the only change Ireland Women’s Head Coach Tom Tierney has made to the side that overcame Italy last Friday night.

Fitzhenry has been named in the centre after making her debut as a substitute in Ireland’s 30-5 demolition of the Italians last week.

Meanwhile France have made just one change to their side to take on Ireland at the Aviva this Saturday.

Prop Eddie Ben Arous replaces Vincent Debaty in the front row.

The French opened with a 15-8 win over Scotland last weekend.

Ireland coach Joe Schmidt will name his side tomorrow.

Wales have left George North out of their team to take on Scotland.

The Winger played on despite two blows to the head in last Fridays defeat to England and coach Warren Gatland says they’ve decided to give him an extended recovery period.

Liam Williams will start in North’s place, with Scott Williams among the substitutes.
