SPORT: WEXFORD FOOTBALL BOSS ADDS TO BACKROOM TEAM
Wexford football manager David Power has added to his backroom team.
Former Irish basketball star and TV commentator Tim McCarthy is to work the squad – mostly on defence.
McCarthy is regarded as one of the country’s greatest-ever basketball players.
Meanwhile Power has also hailed the appointment of Brian Malone as Wexford captain for the 2016 campaign – taking over from the injured Ciaran Lyng.
The Slaneysiders boss has also revealed that goalkeeper Shane Roche and defender Michael Furlong are both expected to miss the majority of their Allianz League Division 4 campaign through injury.
