Sport: Wexford Candidate Favourite To Become New Gaa President

SPORT: WEXFORD CANDIDATE FAVOURITE TO BECOME NEW GAA PRESIDENT

Wexford’s Seamus Howlin has emerged as favourite to become the next president of the GAA.

He is one of three candidates whose name is in the ring to succeed Liam ONeill as the next GAA president.

According to the Irish Times today bookmaker Paddy Power has the Wexford man favourite to win at 8 to 11.

The other candidates are Seán Walsh from Kerry and Aogán O’Fearghaill from Cavan.

The winner will be announced tomorrow night after voting by the 320 delegates at the GAA’s Annual Congress in Croke Park.
