SPORT: WESTMEATH COUNTY BOARD DENY WITHDRAWAL FROM MINOR GAME OVER JERSEYS
Westmeath county board have released a statement clarifying the situation with their minor hurlers.
Yesterday the team’s manager Johnny Greville took to twitter saying they had been withdrawn from the Minor B All Ireland championship because no jerseys were available.
However the county board deny this and says that due to the progress they made in the A Championship this season they took the decision not to enter the B Championship.
They clarified that while many jerseys were swapped against their wishes after the Maroons were beaten in the Leinster semi final that’s not the reason they have not entered the B Championship.
