SPORT: O’NEILL NAMES PROVISIONAL SQUAD AHEAD OF EURO QUALIFIERS
Martin O’Neill has named a provisional 37-man squad for next month’s Euro qualifiers with Gibraltar and world champions, Germany.
After his scoring appearance for Ipswich last night, Connor Sammon is named among the strikers, as is Anthony Stokes despite his impending trial for assault.
David Forde and Shay Given are just two of five goalkeepers named today.
The squad will be trimmed before they convene on October 7th.
Ireland play Gibraltar at the Aviva on October 11th before travelling to Gelsenkirchen three days later where they’ll take on Germany.
