IRISH MEDAL HOPES TODAY AT THE PARALYMPICS

Jason Smyth can secure a third Paralympic 100-metre medal this afternoon.

The Derry sprinter goes in his final at 3.10pm this afternoon, Irish time. Smyth won his heat last night in a time of 10-point-7-6 seconds.

In the pool today, Nicole Turner goes in the heats of the S-6 50-metre butterfly.

While in track cycling, Colin Lynch competes in the qualifiers of the C2 Individual Pursuit, and Eoghan Clifford goes in the C-3 qualifiers. Katie-George Dunleavy and Eve McCrystal are first in action in the final of the Individual one thousand metre time trial.
