SPORT: EX-FORMULA ONE CHAMPION SCHUMACHER SUFFERS HEAD INJURY
French authorities say seven-times champion Michael Schumacher sustained a “relatively serious” head injury in a fall at a ski resort.
The German was wearing a helmet when the accident happened.
His manager says he “fell on his head”.
He was transferred by helicopter to a hospital in the Alps city of Grenoble.
Schumacher retired from Formula One for the second time at the end of the 2012 season.
He also retired in 2006 but came back to drive for Mercedes for three seasons, but only finished on the podium once.
