SPORT: ALL EYES ON WEXFORD’S BERTRAM ALLEN AHEAD OF AGA KHAN
Preparations are continuing for Wexford rider Bertram Allen as the Dublin Horse Show begins today.
The 20 year-old will represent Ireland in the Aga Khan on Friday and hopes to continue a fine run of form that has seen him win more than €165,000 already this year.
The Enniscorthy native – who became the youngest rider to win a round on the Global Champions Tour – is expected to attract the crowds as he continues to impress.
The Aga Khan Trophy is of particular significance for Ireland this year as it comes just a few days before the European Championships – which will determine qualification for next year’s Olympic Games in Rio.
