SPORT: 2014 IRISH OPEN TO BE HELD AT FOTA
This year’s Irish Open will be staged at the Fota Island Resort in Cork.
After month’s of speculation, the European Tour has announced that the tournament will return to the venue for the 2001 and 2002 Irish Opens.
The course was purchased by Chinese investment group The Kang Group Worldwide just last year and they have agreed to act as an Official Sponsor as well as tournament hosts.
Cork’s City and County Councils and construction firm BAM Contractors will also provide financial support for the tournament, which takes place from June 19th to 22nd.
