SER SPORTS HOUR SATURDAY FEBRUARY 29TH

On Saturday’s South East Radio Sports Hour, after Wexford were beaten for the second time in the Allianz National Football League Division 4 when Sligo came away from Chadwick’s Wexford Park, we heard from Eoin Porter as he gave his opinion on how Paul Galvin has freshened up the game in the county. He also told us about his memories from Rathgarogue Cushinstown’s All Ireland adventure.

Eoin was speaking on behalf of the Wexford footballers at the launch of the new name for Wexford Park with Chadwick’s taking over the rights from Innovate. Rory O’Connor was on call for the hurlers at the event. He told Liam Spratt about his love for the Fitzgibbon Cup and about his delight to actually be injury free at this time of year.

Rianna Jarrett was the name on everyone’s lips after the latest round of action in the Women’s FA Cup in England. The Wexford Town woman scored twice in a 3-0 win over Crystal Palace in what was her debut for Brighton. Speaking to Aidan Delaney, The former WNL Player of the Year described her journey to the professional ranks, told us why now is the right time to go and also how she’ll never forget her time with Wexford Youths.

You can listen in to the South East Radio Sports Hour every Saturday and Sunday from 6-7pm with Aidan Delaney.
