Advances in science could yet solve the mystery of missing South Wexford woman Fiona Sinnott.
Her disappearance nineteen years ago will be dealt with in RTE’s Crimecall programme tonight.
She went missing on the 8th of February 1998 and her disappearance still remains unresolved.
Following a review of her case by Gardai it was upgraded to a full murder inquiry in 2005.
A fresh investigation is now set to be launched using technology that was not available at the time of her disappearance.
It will concentrate of the Rosslare home Fiona Sinnott shared with her eleven month old daughter.
Forensic Science Ireland can now locate and generate DNA profiles from stains which will be used in the latest forensic investigation.
Tonight’s Crimecall programme will again the highlight the circumstances surrounding her disappearance after leaving Butler’s pub in Broadway.
The programme will also speak to family members of Fiona about the trauma they have suffered over the years.
