RISE IN COUNTY WEXFORD RENT PRICES
A lack of housing in County Wexford has resulted in an increase in rents across the county according to Daft dot ie.
The latest report from the property website shows a 1.7 per cent increase in rent prices in the first quarter of this year.
Nationally the average rent is now 9 per-cent higher than it was the same time last year – with Dublin rents 14 per cent higher.
Ronan Lyons is an economist with Daft dot ie.
He says a lack of supply is causing a rise in rent prices in County Wexford and that we need to start thinking of building again to meet new demand as the population continues to grow.
