PARIS TERROR SUSPECTS TELL POLICE THEY’RE PREPARED TO DIE AS MARTYRS
A massive police operation is continuing at a printworks in north-eastern Paris – where two brothers wanted over the Charlie Hebdo killings – are apparently holding a man hostage.
The pair have allegedly told negotiators they’re prepared to die as martyrs.
Residents in the town of Dammartin-en-Goele are being told to stay indoors.
Meanwhile detectives in France have now formally linked Wednesday’s massacre in Paris to the fatal shooting of a police officer yesterday.
President Francois Hollande has revealed similar plots have been foiled recently.
“We’ve known for several months that there have been a number of attempts at this sort of attack, which fortunately couldn’t be realised” he said
“So in the moment we find ourselves in we have to do everything to make sure our citizens are protected” he added.
