LOW RATE OF PEOPLE ELIGIBLE TO VOTE IN SEANAD ELECTIONS IN CO. WEXFORD
County Wexford has one of the lowest percentages in the country of people eligible to vote in Seanad elections.
The register of electors for the Seanad has been released by the universities whose past pupils are eligible to vote.
County Wexford has just under twenty people per one thousand of its population eligible to vote in the Seanad Election.
This means around 2,900 people living in the county are eligibl to vote in the election to vote in the country’s Senators, which will be held next summer.
Wexford shares the bottom of the league with Louth and Monaghan and just above Cavan, Laois and Donegal.
Wicklow has the third highest rate in the country of people eligible to vote in the Seanad election with Carlow, Kilkenny and Waterford all having higher rates than Wexford.
To be eligible to vote you must have attended and be of the register of electors published by National University of Ireland or Dublin University including Trinity College.
