INVESTIGATION AFTER DOUBLE SHOOTING IN WEST DUBLIN
Gardaí are continuing their hunt for a gunman who shot a pregnant woman and a man in west Dublin last night.
It happened at Grangeview Lawn in Clondalkin just before 9:30pm.
It is understood the pregnant woman was shot in the arm, while the man was hit in the stomach.
They are both recovering in hospital from injuries which are not thought to be life threatening.
Alan O’Keefe from the Herald newspaper says it is believed the suspect fled the scene on a bike or motorbike.
“A masked, lone gunman came to the door, and however he managed to gain access, he opened fire” he said.
“The woman was shot in her right arm and the man was shot in the abdomen”.
“He fled the scene – we don’t know if he got away on a motorbike or even on a bicycle”.
“The people around through when I arrived last night they were extremely shocked; they said that there was terrible commotion straight after the shooting” he added.
