FORMER FIANNA STRATEGIST PJ MARA DIES
Tributes are being paid from across the political divide following the death of PJ Mara.
The 73 year-old former Fianna Fail strategist passed away overnight after a long illness.
Party leader Micheal Martin has described him as a “true original” who brought immense humour, judgement and commitment to his role.
Former Fine Gael TD Maurice Manning has said he was a close friend despite being “a master of the black arts”.
And Fianna Fail TD Willie O’Dea says PJ bridged the gap in the party, created by Charlie Haughey.
