FLIGHT MH17 CRASHED DUE TO ‘LARGE NUMBER OF OBJECTS THAT PENETRATED AIRCRAFT’
Dutch officials say Malaysian Airlines Flight MH17 crashed after being hit by “numerous objects” that “pierced the plane at high speed”.
A report released by the Dutch Safety Board said there was “no evidence of technical or human error”.
All 298 people on board died when the plane came down in Ukraine, amid reports it was shot down by pro-Russian rebels.
Reporter Michelle Clifford says the report appears to confirm that MH17 was shot down.
“That would be consistent with this penetration from outside by high energy objects and that could be consistent – although it isn’t definitive yet – could be consistent with the speculation that it was a surface to air missile” she said.
“They’re not saying what kind of missile – the speculation was that it was a Buk and that it was provided by the Russians”.
“Those are the big questions that everyone’s going to have to follow” she added.
