ESB SAYS REMAINING FAULTS HOPEFULLY REPAIRED TONIGHT – UPDATE 3.30PM SATURDAY 16TH
ESB Networks says its crews have been working all day to re-connect areas around Bunclody, Enniscorthy and Wexford towns and the South of the county that have been without power since Wednesday’s huge storm.
So far today around two thousand customers have had power restored in Wexford – from this morning’s total of 5,200 premises without power around 3,000 remain to be re-connected.
People in the Wellingtonbridge, Campile and Scarawalsh areas were re-connected this morning, Taghmon and Clonegal had power restored this afternoon and another thousand customers in the Clonroche and Kiltealy areas should have electricity restored this evening.
The ESB says most of the remaining work is re-connecting isolated small pockets of customers and most of this should be completed tonight.
