Dean Walsh of St Ibars/ st Josephs is in action tonight in the National Boxing Stadium in the Elite National Finals.
The nephew of USA Coach Billy has moved up to welterweight this year and has made an impressive journey to tonight’s final including a 5 nil demolition of Omagh’s Tiernan Bradley in last weekends semi final.
The 22 year old is going for his 4th National Title having won the previous 3 at Light welter weight.
He will box Brett McGinty from the Oakleaf Club in Derry who captained the Irish Youth team last year and he also won his semi final 5 nil.
