COUNTY WEXFORD TD GIVEN PROMOTION
Fine Gael chief whip and Minister of State Paul Kehoe has been given major new responsibilites within the Department of Defence by An Taoiseach Enda Kenny.
It follows the resignation of the Minister for Justice and Defence Alan Shatter last week.
An Taoiseach Enda Kenny – who had taken responsibility of the post in the interim – made the announcement this afternoon.
Deputy Kehoe will have additional responsibilities including attending all ceremonial functions requiring a minister.
As well as taking questions and responding to ministerial issues in the Dáil.
