COUNTY WEXFORD MOTHER LEFT STRUGGLING TO FIND HOUSING FOLLOWING HOUSE FIRE
A young Wexford Mother has been speaking on South East Radio’s Morning Mix about her plight after being left homless following a house fire.
Mary is the mother of two children one aged five and the other just five months old.
Mary claims she has tried everywhere to be rehoused but without success.
All her belongings were destroyed and all she was left with were the clothes they were wearing.
She says she’s been on the housing list for a number of years but has been told there’s no where for her to go.
Meanwhile Independent TD Mick Wallace says Wexford County Council is working under very difficult circumstances when it comes to social housing.
Deputy Wallace says local authorities have had their grant for social housing slashed leaving it extremely difficult to house those in need.
