CLIFFORD JAILED FOR 8 YEARS IN THE U.K
Max Clifford has been jailed for eight years for a series of indecent assaults.
The British celebrity publicist was found guilty of eight charges relating to attacks on women and girls in the 1970’s and 80’s.
The judge told him that some of the offences would be considered rape if they happened today.
The so-called ‘King of PR’ has also been told he must serve at least half of the eight year jail term.
Solicitor Liz Dux represents people who’ve made complaints as part of Operation Yewtree – the UK police investigation which secured its first conviction when Clifford was found guilty.
“What is striking today are his shots before court – absolutely no sense of contrition, no apology, when he has now been found guilty” she said earlier today.
“It’s as if he is saying ‘up yours’ to the legal system” she added.
