Memories were shared at the launch of a commerative DVD in Gorey last night
The event remembered the work done by local man Kevin Lacey in the Bosnian refugee crisis of over a decade ago
He set up Bosnian Aid in 2004 during the height of the Balkan conflict.
The group helped raise €100,000 in a short space of time to help set up an orphanage in Vukovar in Croatia.
The orphanage now houses 50 children.
The DVD was screened in Breen’s Bar in Gorey last night.
