APPEAL FOR WITNESSES FOLLOWING FERNS CRASH
Gardai in Enniscorthy are appealing for witnesses to a fatal car crash in Clone in Ferns last night.
58 year-old Leo Mc Guire was pronounced dead at the scene of the single vechicle collision which happened at 6.20pm yesterday evening at Doran’s Hill.
Parish Priest in Ferns is Father Paddy Cushin.
He’s paid tribute to the father of three;
“He was a great family man you know and he was…you know there’s nine in the family, originially he would have come from Kilrush and naturally they’re all devastated over it you know because he was such a hard worker…especially 58 years of age” he said.
“He worked in Irish Country Meats for the last 28 years. He was an extremely hard worker since he was 14 years of age and you know everyone is shattered with the news” he continued.
