SUCCESSFUL PLANNING PERMISSION APPLICATIONS IN CO. WEXFORD HIGHEST IN THE REGION
County Wexford had the highest number of planning permissions granted in the South East in the first 3 months of the year.
Figures from the CSO show 140 applications were granted – the second highest was Kilkenny with 105.
The largest number of projects in Wexford were for new dwellings, followed by extensions.
However the figures are down on the same time last year – when there were 15 per cent more planning permissions granted in the county.
Nationally there was a 97 per cent yearly rise in the number of successful applications in the first three months of the year.
