SPORT: STEVEN REID ANNOUNCES RETIREMENT FROM FOOTBALL
Former Republic of Ireland midfielder Steven Reid has announced his retirement from football at the age of 34.
Reid joined Burnley at the start of this season, but injuries have meant he’s only played seven times for the Turf Moor outfit.
A seventeen-year club career took him from Millwall to Blackburn, then from West Brom to Burnley.
Reid made his Ireland debut in 2001, and among his 23 caps were 2 appearances at the 2002 World Cup finals.
He’ll will now turn his attention to attaining his coaching badges and media work.
