SOUTH EAST BID TO BECOME EUROPEAN CAPITAL OF CULTURE UNVEILS NEW BRANDING
A new brand for three South East counties coming together to make a bid for the Eurpoean Capital of Culture has been announced.
The three counties involved in the bid are Wexford, Waterford and Kilkenny.
The new brand unveiled today is Three Sisters 2020 and will be used by the three counties to step up their campaign to become European Culture Capital in 2020.
The name Three Sisters comes from the three rivers known by the same name.
They are the Barrow, the Nore and the Suir and will form the corporate branding for their unique event.
The European Capital of Culture is designated by the European Union for a period of one calendar year.
During that period, the city or region organises a series of cultural events with a strong European dimension.
