SPORT: TOMAS O’CONNOR OPTS OUT FOR THE KILDARE FOOTBALLERS
There’s bad news for the Kildare footballers who have lost Tomás O’Connor for the Championship.
According to the Irish Independent the Clane forward has opted out due to a lack of game time.
It’s been a tough season for the Lillywhites who were relegated from division 2.
They face Laois or Carlow in their Leinster opener on June 6th.
Meanwhile Carlow will be without Brendan Murphy for the Championship.
The former Ireland international rules player is moving to New York where he’ll play club football this summer.
