SPORT: MAY 17TH WEEKEND FREE FROM CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP FOLLOWING WEXFORD REQUEST
A request from both the management of the Wexford senior hurling and football teams to have the weekend of the 17th of May free from club championship action has been granted by the CCC.
It will now alleviate the normal end-of-year backlog which meant Wexford had no representative in the 2014 AIB Leinster club football championship.
As a result, the 3rd Round of the Football championship scheduled for that weekend has been put on hold for now and replaced with a round of the league.
The Fixtures Plan until for weekends until June are as follows; 19th April 2nd Round Football championship, 26th April 3rd Round ACHL, 3rd May 1st Round Hurling championship,10th May 2nd Round Hurling championship, 17th May 4th Round ACFL, 24th May 3rd Round Hurling championship and the 1st June 4th Round ACHL.
