CONTACT MADE WITH MAN SEEN ON CCTV SPEAKING TO MISSING CORK NURSE
Police in Glasgow have made contact with a man seen on CCTV footage speaking to a nurse from Cork who is missing in the city.
24-year-old Karen Buckley, from Mourneabbey near Mallow, has not been seen since the early hours of Sunday morning.
She was out with friends at a nightclub in the Dumbarton Road and told her friends she was going to the bathroom.
But she did not return and did not collect her jacket.
It is reported that police have traced the man seen on camera footage, who is now assisting with their inquiries.
Radio Clyde reporter Conor Gillies says a major search operation is continuing.
“Karen lived towards the city centre, and she was walking in the opposite direction” he said.
“That last CCTV picture shows her talking to that man – everyone is very concerned about this, including her family who have flown over from Cork to Glasgow” he added.
