SHOPPERS SNAPPING UP POST-CHRISTMAS BARGAINS ONLINE
Savvy online shoppers are snapping up hundreds of sales bargains.
Price and product comparison website, pricespy.ie is reporting a surge in shoppers after Christmas.
The site’s Lorna Barker says there has been a lot of online activity for the sales.
“There are searches for the sort of big ticket items that people have probably been waiting for the sales to make purchases” she said.
“TVs, homewares, laptops and so on”.
“And saw an increase on pricespy of 100 percent more site visits on St Stephen’s Day than we had the previous Friday, which was the Friday before Christmas”.
“it sort of feels like coming closer to Christmas there was maybe more impulse buys; whereas now when people are shopping in the sales they’re taking time, they’re doing their research and making sure that they’re getting the best prices” she added.
