The N25 at Orristown has now fully reopened following todays earlier emergency closure.
Heavy traffic volumes are still present.
The air ambulance was called to the scene of a road traffic collision at half past 8 this morning and the road remained closed for most of the day.
Gardaí confirmed that a truck was involved in the incident.
