Rory McIlroy has become the first player to win back to back major titles since Padraig Harrington in 2008.
He won the US PGA Championship by one shot ahead of Phil Mickelson after a gripping final round at Valhalla in Kentucky.
Phil Mickeson was second on 15 under .
Graeme Mc Dowell and Shane Lowry both ended on 1 under.
