PAC URGES FORMER DIRECTORS OF CRC TO CONFIRM IF THEY’RE TO ATTEND HEARING
Members of the Dáil Public Accounts Committee have urged former directors of the Central Remedial Clinic to confirm if they will attend a hearing next week.
The committee has been told that the CRC’s former directors have not yet confirmed if they will be present for a hearing next Thursday.
TDs have been told that the committee is still in correspondence with the clinic’s former chairman Hamilton Goulding about asking him to appear.
Fine Gael TD Simon Harris says Mr. Goulding has already made two public promises about working with the PAC.
“He said firstly that there were documentation that this committee was seeking, and he said he would be willing to attend this committee” he said.
“And I just think that the context of any conversation that the clerk is having with him and his team, he should be reminded of his public pronouncements on this issue – because nothing has changed in that regard” he added.
