INJURED ENNISCORTHY HURLER SAYS ONLY A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE HOUSE IS TAKEN
A County Wexford man who suffered a serious injury to his hand during a hurling match says he’s resigned to the fact that he’ll lose his house.
Eric Flynn from Enniscorthy was subsequently unable to work which resulted in him losing his business after the incident 5 years ago.
Yesterday he was granted a 3 month stay on his mortgage – but he believes that it’s only a matter of time before it’s repossed.
He told South East Radio’s Morning Mix that the insurance premium he paid his hurling club only covered his injury for a year.
Eric Flynn says he wants to meet the county board and the Leinster Council in order to prevent what happened to him happening to others.
He has also asked to meet the president of the GAA but hasn’t yet received a response.
