DRUGS ARRESTS IN KILDARE AND GALWAY
Three people have been arrested following two separate drugs seizure in Kildare and Galway.
Gardai recovered 300,000 euro’s worth of Cannabis plants in Galway while 100,000 euros worth of drugs were recovered following two seizures in county Kildare.
Gardai seized around 300,000 euros worth of Cannabis plants in what is been described as a sophisticated grow house when officers from the Galway Divisional Drug Unit and local Gardaí
carried out a planned search of a house in the Mountbellew area earlier.
Other drug paraphernalia and two firearms were also recovered and the scene is preserved while gardai carry out a technical examination.
A man -in his mid 40’s was arrested and is been detained at Ballinasloe Garda Station.
Meanwhile, a 25-year-old man is being questioned after gardai discoverd around 90,000 euros worth of cocaine, cannabis herb and ecstasy tablets in Kildare.
It follows the search of a house at Bishopsland yesterday evening. The man is being held at Newbridge Garda Station.
In a separate search operation, gardai also discovered approximately 10,000 euros worth of cannabis herb at a house at Bell Harbour in Monasterevin. A man was arrested and is also being questioned at Newbridge Garda Station.
