The latest independent radio listenership survey, conducted by Ipos/MRBI shows that South East Radio listeners stay tuned for longer time periods than any other radio station in Leinster, almost one and a half times longer than its nearest competitor. South East Radio is the provincial leader recording the highest percentage of daily listeners.
With 63,000 adults tuning in every week South East Radio is the station favoured by most adults in Co. Wexford. 54,000 listeners tune in everyday; 41,000 in Co. Wexford and another 13,000 adults in neighbouring hinterlands.
Housekeepers, the very important target group to the business community in Co. Wexford, continue to keep their dial tuned to South East Radio with over 50% of all housekeepers listening in every week. They are a core audience group to South East Radio with no other station achieving these audience levels.
Content is key to recruiting and maintaining listeners to South East Radio which translates into advertising and sponsorship opportunities, borne out by the recent arrival of Dave Redmond to the South East Radio Breakfast Show. Dave brings with him a wealth of local, national and international presenting experience. Combining the new and the old is proving to be popular with the Breakfast Show listener.
