SPORT: WALES KICK OFF 6 NATIONS WITH HOME WIN IN 2014 OPENER
Wales started the defence of their Six Nations crown with a win, beating Italy by 23 points to 15 at the Millenium Stadium in Cardiff.
Alex Cuthbert and Scott Williams went over for first half tries for Wales, with Michele Campagnaro scoring Italy’s try.
Lee Halfpenny converted both Wales tries and also pegged 3 penalties while Tommaso Allen converted one Italian 5-pointer and slotted two penalties.
Wales travel to Dublin to take on Ireland in their next outing a week today.
