500 NEW JOBS ON THE WAY FOR CORK
A company that closed its manufacturing base in Cork in 2008, with the loss of 320 jobs – is to return and create 500 jobs over three years.
Tyco, a fire safety and security company closed its manufacturing base in the City six years ago, but is now to open a service centre for its international business clients.
The company is looking to hire staff in the areas of customer services, finance and I.T.
The project is supported by IDA Ireland, and Jobs Minister Richard Bruton, said the announcement is a major endorsement of Ireland’s recovery.
