SPORT: ANELKA DEFENDS GOAL CELEBRATION GESTURE
The French minister for sport has accused Nicolas Anelka of making a “disgusting anti-Semitic” goal celebration.
He made the gesture after scoring for West Brom in their 3-all Premier League draw at West Ham.
The Football Association is reported to be looking into the incident.
Anelka insists it was merely a dedication to his friend – a comedian who invented the action as an anti-establishment statement.
