Fire officials in California have issued the most severe wind warning for the first time ever – as wildfires threaten thousands of homes.
Flames have destroyed properties in the upmarket Bel Air neighbourhood – while nearby Hollywood has halted production on some TV shows.
About 200-thousand people in the Los Angeles area have been told to leave.
